The Village at Meridian is getting one of its largest expansions in years.

More than 100,000 square feet of new retail and restaurant space is being added around the shopping center, bringing a mix of national retailers, first-to-Idaho concepts, restaurants, fitness studios and home brands.

And unlike many development announcements, this one is already close to becoming reality.

The first group of businesses is currently scheduled to open October 9, 2026, with additional stores and restaurants expected to follow later in 2026 and into 2027.

Here’s what is coming.

Opening October 9, 2026

The first wave of the expansion is expected to open during a three-day celebration running October 9 through October 11.

The initial lineup currently includes:

  • Alo

  • Tecovas

  • Kendra Scott

  • Gorjana

  • Paris Baguette

  • Tempur-Pedic

Opening dates are still subject to construction schedules, but these are the businesses currently targeted for the first weekend.

Alo

Athleisure brand Alo is one of the highest-profile retailers joining the expansion.

Alo has grown quickly around the country with stores focused on yoga-inspired athletic wear, lifestyle clothing and accessories.

The Meridian location gives Treasure Valley shoppers another premium athletic-apparel option alongside brands already operating in the Boise-Meridian market.

Tecovas

Austin-based Tecovas is bringing its western-wear concept to Meridian.

The company is best known for boots but also carries clothing, belts, bags and other western-inspired apparel.

This one feels particularly suited to Idaho, where western and outdoor-oriented brands tend to have a natural audience.

Kendra Scott

Jewelry brand Kendra Scott is also scheduled for the October opening.

The company is known for jewelry, accessories and customizable pieces and was one of the earlier tenants associated with The Village expansion.

Gorjana

Another jewelry brand, Gorjana, is also part of the first wave.

The California company focuses on minimalist necklaces, earrings, bracelets and other everyday jewelry.

Paris Baguette

One of the most interesting food additions arriving immediately is Paris Baguette.

Despite the name, the bakery-cafe brand originated in South Korea and operates locations across the United States and internationally.

Its menu typically includes:

  • pastries

  • cakes

  • croissants

  • sandwiches

  • coffee

  • breads

Paris Baguette is expected to open with the first group of businesses on October 9.

For Meridian, this adds another breakfast, coffee and dessert option to an already restaurant-heavy shopping center.

Tempur-Pedic

Mattress company Tempur-Pedic rounds out the first announced opening group.

The store will give The Village another home-oriented retailer as the center continues expanding beyond clothing and restaurants.

Coming Shortly After the October Opening

The October 9 group is only the beginning.

Several more tenants are expected to begin operating a short time later, including:

  • Flower Child

  • Solidcore

  • Vuori

  • 7th Avenue

Flower Child

Flower Child could become one of the more popular new restaurant additions.

The restaurant specializes in health-conscious bowls, wraps, salads, vegetables and protein-focused meals.

Its future building has already become noticeable because the exterior features a large lemon-themed design.

The planned space is approximately 3,174 square feet.

Flower Child is owned by The Cheesecake Factory Inc., which also owns North Italia, another restaurant already located at The Village.

Vuori

Athletic apparel company Vuori is also joining the expansion.

Like Alo, Vuori operates in the premium athletic and casual-wear market.

That gives The Village a noticeably larger concentration of upscale fitness and lifestyle brands.

Solidcore

Boutique fitness concept Solidcore is opening a studio in the new area.

The workout is built around resistance-based strength training using specialized equipment and has expanded rapidly in larger metropolitan markets.

This is another example of The Village shifting toward a broader mix of shopping, dining, fitness and lifestyle businesses.

7th Avenue

California furniture company 7th Avenue is planning its first Idaho location here.

The retailer sells modular sofas, chairs and other home furnishings.

Company representatives have said strong online sales from Idaho helped influence the decision to open a physical showroom in Meridian.

Apple Store Planned for The Village

One of the biggest names connected with the expansion is Apple.

City permits filed in 2026 showed plans for an approximately 10,411-square-foot Apple Store at 3300 E. Longwing Lane.

Plans show the type of large, open sales floor commonly associated with newer Apple stores.

The permits have moved through the city under several project labels, so the safest way to describe the location right now is planned rather than officially open.

Still, if the store opens as proposed, it would become one of the most significant retail additions in the entire Treasure Valley.

Why the Apple Store Matters

Apple tends to operate relatively large regional stores rather than putting locations in every shopping center.

That means a Village location would likely attract customers from:

  • Boise

  • Meridian

  • Eagle

  • Nampa

  • Kuna

  • Caldwell

  • other parts of Southwest Idaho

It would make The Village even more of a regional shopping destination.

Pottery Barn

Pottery Barn is also tied to the expansion.

Permits show plans for an approximately 11,725-square-foot store.

This is one to describe carefully.

Pottery Barn has appeared in previous Meridian development concepts that never materialized, and earlier in 2026 Village management said a lease had not yet been finalized despite the permit activity.

Later expansion reporting continued to list Pottery Barn among the planned tenants.

So for now, we’ll keep this one in the planned category until opening details become clearer.

Williams Sonoma

Pottery Barn’s sister brand Williams Sonoma is also moving forward at The Village.

Permits show a planned 5,550-square-foot store southwest of Urban Outfitters.

Williams Sonoma focuses on:

  • cookware

  • kitchen appliances

  • cutlery

  • barware

  • glassware

  • cooking demonstrations

The company already operates at Boise Towne Square, so it will be worth watching whether the Meridian location changes the brand’s Boise-area footprint.

The Capital Grille

One of the largest restaurant additions is The Capital Grille.

The upscale steakhouse is planning its first Idaho location in an approximately 9,000-square-foot building along Eagle Road.

The chain is known for:

  • steaks

  • seafood

  • wine

  • business dinners

  • higher-end service

This moves The Village further into destination dining rather than simply casual restaurants surrounding a shopping center.

Culinary Dropout

Culinary Dropout is also planned for the expansion.

The restaurant concept combines food, cocktails and a social atmosphere and is being developed along Eagle Road near the other new restaurant spaces.

The Village has increasingly leaned into restaurants that encourage people to stay for an entire evening rather than simply eat and leave.

Culinary Dropout fits that strategy.

Postino WineCafe

Another first-to-Idaho concept is Postino WineCafe.

The Arizona-founded restaurant is planning a Village location with an approximately 1,297-square-foot patio.

Its menu typically centers on:

  • wine

  • bruschetta

  • charcuterie

  • paninis

  • salads

  • brunch

The Meridian restaurant will be its first Idaho location.

This one could become another strong date-night or brunch destination.

Over Easy Coming in 2027

Not everything is scheduled for 2026.

Breakfast and brunch chain Over Easy is planning a location in the former Blaze Pizza space at The Village.

Current plans target the first quarter of 2027.

The company is also planning a second Meridian location at The District at Ten Mile, giving it two locations in one of the fastest-growing areas of the Treasure Valley.

Salt & Straw Is Also Coming to The Village

Ice cream brand Salt & Straw is another new addition, although it is not technically part of the new expansion area.

The company is planning to move into the former Bodovino space near the fountain.

That gives The Village yet another dessert option in its central restaurant district.

Baby Maven Boutique Has Also Moved to The Village

Not every newcomer is a national chain.

Locally owned Baby Maven Boutique announced plans to relocate its Meridian store to The Village.

The boutique sells baby and toddler clothing, furniture, car seats, strollers, toys and gifts.

The move gives the expansion at least one locally owned retail component alongside the large national brands.

The Village Expansion Is Bigger Than One Building

This project is not simply filling a few empty storefronts.

The current expansion includes multiple new buildings around The Village property.

Earlier plans called for approximately 65,000 square feet across three buildings, followed by another proposed phase adding nearly 46,000 square feet in three additional buildings along Eagle Road.

Two of those buildings were expected to become full-service restaurants.

That helps explain why the final tenant list keeps growing.

Why The Village Keeps Expanding

Meridian has become one of the strongest retail markets in Idaho.

The Village sits near Eagle Road and Fairview Avenue, putting it within easy reach of residents across Meridian, Boise, Eagle, Kuna and West Boise.

It also combines entertainment, restaurants, shopping and public gathering areas in one location.

That means people often visit The Village even when they are not specifically shopping.

The expansion doubles down on that model.

What This Means for Boise

Even though The Village is in Meridian, this is absolutely a Boise-area story.

West Boise is only a short drive away, and residents throughout the Treasure Valley treat The Village as a regional destination.

That is why YoBoise will continue covering Meridian development when it directly affects Boise-area residents.

Our broader guide to New Restaurants and Businesses Opening in Boise & Meridian in 2026 will continue tracking openings throughout both cities.

What We’re Watching Next

There are several questions we’ll keep following:

  • When will the planned Apple Store officially open?

  • When will Capital Grille begin service?

  • What will happen with the current Boise Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma locations?

  • When will Postino and Culinary Dropout open?

  • Will more retailers be announced for the later expansion buildings?

  • Will October construction timelines hold?

As dates become official, this is an article we should update rather than replace.

The Bottom Line

The Village at Meridian is becoming substantially larger.

October 2026 brings the first major wave of new stores and restaurants.

Later additions will bring more athletic brands, furniture stores, dining concepts and potentially one of the Treasure Valley’s most significant new tech retailers.

And the expansion will continue into 2027.

For Boise and Meridian residents, The Village is becoming less like a traditional shopping center and more like a regional dining, retail and entertainment district.
